Support Pope Benedict!

In the wake of the removal of the excommunications incurred upon the SSPX, a large amount of very unwarranted and distorted criticism has been launched against Pope Benedict. Please sign the letter below in support of his decision if you are so moved.

The Economics of Human Life

I guess you can't say that all those people who said that economics was more important then abortion during the election were lying. It turns out that what's in their 401k is more important then other human beings as far as I can tell. I came to that conclusion after everything that's come out recently about the birth of the octuplets in California. When I first came across that story I was amazed and happy for that woman. She's very lucky. The odds of carrying that many babies and having them all be born relatively healthy were not in her favor. I still am happy for her.

Abortion the New Economic Issue

You might think that abortion is about the right to life. According to the latest and greatest from the pro-choice world it's actually more of an economic thing. One of the things I came across today was a simple news headline on a local news channels website about a pro-life rally at the capital. It was really just a small paragraph that basically stated that it took place. Nothing more. Then my husband points out the comments on the page. It seems that most of the commenters were very much pro choice. Not only that they were very anti-religious.

Oh, and besides FOCA…

This is a priority as well, especially since the chances of it passing are quite good, whereas FOCA may get enough opposition. (KEEP PRAYING!!!)

Links, links, links…

Given the business as of late, I've had several things I've wanted to write about, but no time. So, here are links that caught my attention as of late:

ObamaTunes

ObamaTunes

The day of the inaguration, and iTunes has this up. No hero worship here, nothing to see folks, move along.

I also find it funny that people worried about Ronald Reagan because he was an actor.

Wow...

Just in case you thought people were misoverestimating people's opinions of Obama, The Anchoress has a picture which should send chills down your spine at the very idea of someone committing this blasphemy.

I'll take misunderestimation over pretense to messiahship any day.

A little excitement for the day

There is a new Servant of God from the Carmelite community today:

Servant of God Liberata Ferrarons y Vives, Spanish laywoman of the Third Order of Carmelites (1803-1842).

I don't know much about her yet, but I'll post it if I find anything.
